Of Jackson, passed away October 21, 2015 age 87. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Ellen, 2 sons, Reverend William Paul (Ruth) Stephens and Reverend J. Russell (Rainey) Stephens, 1 daughter, Judy Ellen (Thomas) Locke, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Edward, Velton and William Stephens, 2 sisters, Oneeda Smith and Maggie Allen. He served in the Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict, was a member of Loomis Park Baptist Church for 48 years and retired from Dana Corporation after 32 years of service, after retirement he worked at Patience-Montgomery and Burden Funeral Homes. Funeral services were held at Loomis Park Baptist Church, Saturday October 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial Pleasant Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Loomis Park Baptist Church.
