Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the age of 70. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Dorinda (Paul) Roggenbuck, Brent (Becky) Barror, and Jessica (David) Free; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Ben (Joy) LeVan and Sherman (Sue) LeVan; sister-in-law, Marilyn LeVan as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Dunning and Brother, Marvin LeVan. Jacquie was born in Kenton, Ohio to Ervin E. and Marveljane (Odle) LeVan on August 3, 1946. She moved with her family to the St. Charles Michigan area as a child. She started her own family in that same area and remained in the vicinity for much of her early adult life. After a short stint in the Upper Peninsula she relocated her two youngest children to Florida to assist in the care of her ailing parents. After their deaths in 1986 she moved to the Jackson, MI area to be near her oldest daughter and the first of many grandchildren where she remained until her death. Learning and growing were essential to her and she held three college degrees obtained between 1986 and 2003. As a result of her constant need to learn and her desire to provide the best she could for her family, she held many jobs in her life. The one dearest to her heart were the years she spent at the Dalhem Environmental Education Center. She retired from Flagstar bank in 2011 but retirement wasn't for her. In 2013 she started her second career at Anesthesia Business Consultants where she was still employed and loved by many. Vera touched the hearts of everyone she knew with her unwavering faith, unconditional love and acceptance. She struggled for much of her life but never missed an opportunity to help those in need. She regularly donated to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter and was active with whichever church was nearest to her. This included Napoleon United Methodist Church and most recently New Horizons Community Church. According to her wishes cremation has been selected and a service celebrating her life will be held at 816 Foote Street on Saturday, April 29th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution in her name to the Dahlem Environmental Education Center 7117 S. Jackson Road, 49201.
