

of Jackson, MI passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at the age of 87. He was the only child of Ollie and Monty Hamlin born on November 28, 1937. Bill served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the Vandercook Lake Lions club for many years before retiring in 1993 and moving to Grayling Michigan with his wife Emily (Millie) Hamlin whom he wed in November 1971. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He looked forward to the Ausable canoe race that was put on every year in Grayling. Bill loved to visit Neebish Island with his cousins Mary and Beth where they spent the summers as children with their grandparents. He was known by his kind smile that embraced his personality and his generosity with caring and love that he shared with everyone he knew. He loved spending time with his family, grand children and great grandchildren. He always welcomed everyone into his home and enjoyed visits by his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by his family son, John (Barbara) Lubahn of Jackson, MI; grandchildren, Brent (Lisa) Lubahn of Leslie, MI; David (Lindsey) Lubahn of Napoleon, MI; Alison (Walter) Moore of Jackson, MI; great grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Joshua Lubahn, Ethan Lubahn, Lisa Purdy, Emily Lubahn, Erin Lubahn, Jerry Purdy, Jacob Purdy; special cousins, Elizabeth A. Brammer of Illinois, Mary O. Livingston and her family of Colorado. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emily on August 31, 2006. Private services will be held for Bill. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Crawford County Commission on Aging, Meals on Wheels (4388 West M-72 Hwy Grayling, MI. 49738).
