Barbara was a homemaker for much of her life but also worked in several fields throughout her time with us. She spent the longest time with Pic n Save Drugs and considered it her favorite employment as a Photo Department Supervisor. She was a dedicated member of Oceanside Baptist Church in Atlantic Beach and loved to spend most of her free time with her “best friends” at Destinations Unlimited Travel Club.
Barbara was predeceased by her Grandfather from Mayport, Charlie Leek, Grandmother Hattie Duncan, father Francis Bendever, and mother Gladys Leek. She is survived by her sister Janie Bendever Capps and Children Fred Scholz, Barbara Scholz, Ted Glisson and step children Garrath Phelps, Nadine Waldrup, Alan Waldrup. She was married to Jack Ollen Waldrup for 48 years after a 2 year engagement. They were the most in love couple we children have ever known and carried that reputation throughout the beaches community every day of their lives! “Have I told you lately that I love you” was their song. She will be forever missed and in our hearts.
