Carl Scott McKenzie, 77 of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died January 10, 2015. Mr. McKenzie was pre-deceased by his wife, Beulah McKenzie; father, Thomas S. McKenzie; mother, Henrietta B. McKenzie; brothers, James Rhoads McKenzie and Kenneth E. McKenzie; sister, Eleanora McCooley and step daughter, Gloria D. Smith. He had been an electrical contractor with his father, Thomas S. McKenzie electrical contractor business McKenzie Electric Co. in Jacksonville Beach until 1968. He had served in the US Coast Guard and worked many years with the Florida Times Union. He is survived by his step children: Raymond K. Pruitt, Jr., Glenda Dale Tucker, Donna K. Brown, Richard K. Pruitt and Nancy Tickle; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at 11 am.
