Diane Kay Hughes

She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on August 19, 1947. Diane (DeDe) graduated from Morningside University, Iowa. She received a Bachelor degree in Business and Child Care Development and degree from New Life Christian Fellowship in christian ministry.

She was married to Ned Hobbs Hughes on June 19, 1969.

Diane owned several businesses including a radio station, WYNE, a sales and marketing company, Hardee

franchise and a montessori school. She belonged to the Chamber of Commerce and many other adventures.

Her passions were swimming, boating, sailing in the British Virgin Islands, water skiing, horseback riding, hiking, reading, puzzles, scrabble games, and cards, but most of all her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by four children: Drake Hughes, Holly Hughes, Dennis Hughes and Megan Hughes. Brother, Carter Ray Dennis. Grandchildren: Carter Hughes, Aiden Hughes, Gavin Whitford, Ronan Hughes, Lilly Smith, Maggie Hughes and great grandchildren, Olivia and Lyric Hughes.

Memorial services will be held on July 7th, 2024 at 1:30pm at the Eleven22 Church, located at 14286 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32250.
