

He was born in Atlantic City, NJ on August 6, 1931. Duncan graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville and attended the University of Florida for two years when an automobile accident kept him from completing his studies at that time. He was married to Ann until her death in 1984, and was married to Audrey until her death in 2016.
Duncan worked for AT&T, Southern Bell, and Bell South for his entire career.
He was a 55 year member, Deacon, and Elder of Community Presbyterian Church, and also sang in the choir. He served on, and was past Chair of the Mission Committee at Community where he was involved
with the 2 Cents a Meal offering, Cold Night Shelter, BEAM, Mission House, and Our Father's Housewares.
His other volunteer interest included decades with the Telephone Pioneers (Telecom Pioneers) and the Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament. When his sons were in Boy Scouts, he always served on the Troop Committee; and saw all three sons become Eagle Scouts.
He is survived by Son David MacInnes (Kamie) and Daughter Susan Fort (Don), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives Ann and Audrey; two sons, Duncan III and Mark; sister Anne Lindsay.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
His Celebration of Life service will be held July 20th, 11:00 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, 150 Sherry Drive, Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Community Presbyterian Church (MISSIONS) or to the Telecom Pioneers of America.
