George “Mickey” Freeman, 55, passed away December 21, 2015 after a long illness. He was a loving father, brother, son, and a faithful servant to God. Born in New Orleans, LA, he was a longtime resident of the Jacksonville area. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and avid Gator fan. Mickey's passion for the outdoors was evident in his love of surfing, horticulture, golf, and most of all, his mission work in Costa Rica.
Mickey was preceded in death by his father, George W. Freeman, MD. He is survived by his mother, Sally Ann Freeman; sons, Charles Walter Freeman and Davis Fielding Freeman; mother of his children, Nancy Freeman; sister, Sally Wilber (Bill); niece, Caroline; and brother, William Todd Freeman.
A service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held 11 am Thursday, Jan 7th at Beach Church, Jacksonville Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all recognition be donations to Faithful Servant Missions, Inc, 13126 Johns Island Court, Jacksonville, FL 32224 or FaithfulServantMissions.org.
