James Allen Johnson

James Allen Johnson passed away on August 12, 2017. James was 68 years old. James is predeceased by his parents and his son – Michael Shirk. James is survived by his daughter - Cissy (Nelson) Reagan; his son - Hugo (Debbie) Rossignol ; his brothers - Billy Joe (Sheryl) Johnson; Curtis (Rita) Johnson; his sisters - Suzette (David) Fowler; Tangie (Lamar) Self; Sara Johnson; Rose Johnson; Francine and Dixie Johnson; Peggy Gaskins. James has 11 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 11 nieces and 8 nephews.

James was a patriot and served honorably in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. James was a Mason, Shriner a member of The American Legion Post #316 and a Life-Time Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. James met and married the “love of his life”, Barbara Rossignol-Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The American Legion Post #316 in memory and in honor or James Allen Johnson.

A brief Funeral Service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, Monday, August 21 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Joe Newton officiating and songs by Harrison Newton.
