John Tucker Mekler, 74, of Jacksonville Beach, passed away May 16, 2021. Born in Sharon, PA on October, 29, 1946, John graduated from high school in Florence, SC. He honorably served in the US Navy for 23 years and had a passion for fishing and travelling.
He married Juanita Reis on July 24, 1997. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, John Tucker Mekler, Jr. and Robert Pate Mekler; grandchildren, John T. Mekler III, Peyton Mekler, Dillon Mekler, Casi Bennett, Cara Hass, and Colin Mekler; and sister, Janet Heddy.
A celebration of John’s life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 19th at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
