IN THE CARE OF
Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens
Karen Cason, age 62, of Jacksonville, Florida, died unexpectedly on January 16, 2023. Karen was born on February 29, 1960 at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia and was the daughter of the late LTC Arnold Hayward and Nancy Hayward. She grew up in the Atlanta, Georgia area, however had lived for the past 20 years in Jacksonville.
Karen was full of life and loved deeply and tenderly. She found peace and comfort through her love of the ocean. Her love for her family was unmatched, and she was taken way too soon from this earth, leaving a hole in all our hearts. She loved the Lord and had said she looked forward one day to seeing her dad and maternal grandmother in Heaven.
Karen worked for Landstar Trucking for over 15 years in their compliance division. She enjoyed her job, along with many of her co-workers.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Scott Cason, mother, Nancy Hayward, daughter Rachael Ramsey (Wes), son Chris Holland, step-daughter Lindsay Cason, step-son Kelly Cason (Leah), brother Brad Hayward (Gretchen), half-sister Renee Becher (Tom), nephews, Joshua Becher and Nathan Hayward; nieces Skylar Hayward, Jessica Becher and Daina Becher; grandchildren Cali, Wyatt and Dalton Ramsey and step-granddaughter, Dakota Cason.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday February 4, 2023 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 am.
