He was married to Clara M. Tanner on December 17, 1962. Leonard had a career as a CPO in the U.S. Navy and upon his retirement from the Navy, he worked for Davoe Industries before retiring man years later. He had a passion for fishing and his family.
In addition to his wife, Clara, he is survived by his children, Susan Tanner Long and Cliff Tanner; grandchildren, Matthew Belshaw, Ashley Ingram, Tanner Minton, Trevor Tanner, Delaney Tanner and Joshua Tanner.
A memorial service will be held 6pm, Tuesday February 14th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach.
