We were very sad to read about Misty's passing.  She was such an asset to the family business.   She always made us feel more like friends than customers.  She will be missed in our community.

Misty was one of the sweetest kindest persons I ever met she was closer to my BFF Gwen but I had the pleasure of knowing her thru Gwen and she had that way to make you feel special we were all better for knowing her may she rest in peace and prayers to her sweet family.

Misty was so much more, including being the Best Female Mechanic at the Beach! Misty was a straight-forward, diligent, and caring woman who worked long days as a full-on auto mechanic and would go home to raise her family, while always keeping her Delay sense of humor and wit. She and her family at Beach Plaza Auto Care were an integral part of keeping The Beaches Leader newspaper delivered to people at the Beach and throughout the country. We always found their hallmark to be honesty and integrity. The vehicles had to keep going for every issue, and she was a very important part! Going into the shop recently, without her being there, for those who know and love her, has brought all of us great sadness. We will miss you, dear Misty, more than you could ever have realized!

My thoughts and prayers to Russ, Hank, Savana and the Delay family. I knew Missy through her neighbor Diane and spoke occasionally over the years. My fondest memory of Missy was her love for decorating their house for the holidays,  mainly  Christmas. I looked forward every year to see what she was going to do and add to make it even better than the year before. This past year the decorations didn't go up right away. We even discussed maybe we should do it as we knew she was struggling. A few days later someone put up decorations, maybe Russ. It warmed my heart that she had decorations for Christmas, I hope it made her smile.

My deepest condolences to Misty's family. I remember visiting her Mom, Dianne for about a week in Jacksonville Beach when Misty was young & still living at home. They took me to the gas station/garage & I was amazed seeing her working in the bays! Best looking  mechanic ever! She had the cutest personality, kinda timid and so sweet & kind .  😇

RIP My Friend & Baby Sister I Never Had untill you . Big Heart  ❤️ and A True Friend . Love you untill we see each other again . Take care of Teddy Bear 🧸.
