Robert Drew Gammie

Robert “Bob” Gammie of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Bob was born in Stanford, CT on September 26, 1953 to Ruth and Stu Gammie. He graduated from Fletcher High School and went to the University of South Florida. Before his retirement he was employed by Hightower Geotechnical Services. Bob was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing, watching the Jags and Gator Football. One of his favorite Sunday Funday was hanging out in the Pool at Club Shea! Bob will be truly missed by so many friends and family. He is preceded in death by his mom, Ruth Gammie, brother, Bill Gammie, and Sister Linda Gammie Carter. Bob is survived by his wife, Pam Allen Gammie, father and step-mother, Marilyn and Stu Gammie, nieces, Marisa Reetz (Scott), Emma Carter, nephews Brandon Gammie (Sarah) and Joshua Allen. Great nieces Camryn Reetz and Maci Gammie, great nephew Jaxon Reetz. A special THANK YOU to Jennifer for her care giving to Bob. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 am at Community Presbyterian Church, Atlantic Beach, with Rev. Dr. Gabe Goodman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
