Samuel Robert Rivers

2 September, 1977 – 18 October, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens

Samuel Robert Rivers, 48, of Jacksonville, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2025. Born on September 2, 1977, in Jacksonville, Sam was a graduate of Bishop Kenny High School.

A founding member and longtime bass player of Limp Bizkit, Sam shared his music with the world for more than 30 years. Beyond the stage, he had a passion for gourmet cooking, animals, and fishing. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Sam was generous, loving, caring, and selfless—a man with a heart of gold who never sought the spotlight. He will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Patricia and Roger Rivers; his brother, David Rivers, and wife, Barbara; nephews Dalton and Ryan; his true love, Keely; and his beloved children (bonus), Beckham, Scarlett, Justice, and Seven. Sam was also a loving cat dad to Odie, who brought him endless joy.

Private family services have already taken place. Those wishing to honor Sam’s memory may make a donation to their local children’s hospital or cat rescue organization in lieu of flowers.
