Almost three years later, and I still miss your constant smile. 

Anytime I came around, you always greeted me with a smile and a hug. Your smile and warmth have stuck with me since the moment I meet you. I know you're in a better place now with no pain. My thoughts and prays go to your family, Chris, and your kids. You are deeply missed.

Dear Steph,
I will never forget the day I met you, first day of school, 9th grade...Earth Space Science. I didn't know you from the years prior, and I was wondering who this spunky girl was that everyone gravitated to. You were one of the girls from the beach that had to come to Sandalwood due to rezoning. You had this infectious laugh and seemed like you were a girl that people wanted to know and be around. Everyone wanted to be around you, and once I got to know you, I understood why. We eventually started talking and became friends and then you finally decided that I was cool enough, and invited me to spend the night. From that point forward, we developed a friendship that would last throughout the years. The group of us girls had an absolute blast. The fun times and laughs that we shared are etched in my mind. These are moments that I will cherish and never forget, and still laugh about them to this day. Our little group had such a great bond, something that has stood the test of time. Busy lives and distance have come between at times, but our core has always remained, no matter how much time had passed. I will never forget your beautiful smile, your impeccable sense of style, your laugh, and your zest for life. I can hear your voice and you infectious laugh so clearly and whenever I replay that in my head, I always smile. You will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss you dearly. Rest In Peace my sweet, beautiful friend.

So many of my high school memories include Stephanie. From nights at her house cooking dinner and watching 90210 to crazy nights out (from Amy's house!), we always had so much fun. I will never forget her laugh. She will be deeply missed and I will always cherish the good times we had. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones.

How can I even put into words all the things I wish I could say to you?
I remember the exact moment that I first saw you at Cruiser's. Chelsia and I were having lunch with Chris, and here you come walking up to our table (looking gorgeous of course). I remember you introducing yourself to us and then chatting with Chris for a few minutes. As you walked away Chels and I proceeded to tease him about who you were and if you were his new girlfriend. He denied it of course, but it wasn't a month later before Chelsia and I were babysitting the kids for date night at your house. I can never thank you enough for all that you brought to my dad. You challenged him more than anyone ever has, but you also loved him harder than anyone ever has. It was not always easy between you and I, but I will always be grateful for how strong our relationship became. I learned so much just from watching how you lived in your everyday life. There was no in between, you were all or nothing in everything you did and it showed. Your home was always warm and inviting, and I have never seen anyone love their kids more passionately than you loved yours. You put all of your effort into the small details that most people would overlook, but that is what made everyone who stepped into your life feel so special. That is what made your kids feel so loved and appreciated. It was the effort that you put into the small, yet meaningful, details that made you so incredible. I could go on for hours about all the things that you did in your everyday life that I now try to carry out in mine. I don't think you actually knew what an imprint you left on my life; I don't think you knew what an imprint you left on every person you ever met. You were always so beautiful and vibrant, and I strive to be the woman you were and always will be in my eyes. I only hope that I can live as passionately and as wonderfully as you did. I will end by saying; I will forever miss you, gorgeous. I love you and will cherish every single moment that I ever shared with you.

I honestly feel so blessed to have met you.  I knew after my first day you would have a huge impact on my life. From publix and trader joe runs to sitting and gossiping and watching bravo constantly. You pushed me to be the best I could be and never settle for anything less than I want.  You have me some of the best advice on my future, guys, and growing up. You helped me break out of my comfort zone and realize it's okay to be a little wild sometimes. You became my best friend so fast and I know you are always with me. I miss you constantly but know you are at peace looking down on all of us you loved .

In all of my 6 years of knowing and loving you, laughing and sharing memories and jokes, sitting across from each other at holiday events and bonding through bad times and good, I never imagined I'd be sitting here, signing a guest book in your memory. Although I knew the time would come, I wanted so badly to ignore that and just enjoy my sweet moments with you. Steph, thank you for being the aunt I never knew I needed. Thank you for stretching your love throughout my family. Thank you for making my uncle the happiest he's ever been. Thank you for coming into my life with your radiance and making my days brighter. I will never meet someone that can light up a room with such an amazing smile- One I'll always remember. Although we spent most times together as a family, I will never cease to forget the days when I'd come sit by your side and enjoy the beautiful company you gave. I never let you know how much appreciation, respect and gratefulness I had towards you for allowing all the Forbus' into your life- We're quite the handful but you opened your arms and poured out love that we've never experienced. You've conquered it all and you've shown to be the toughest, most beautiful and amazing woman I've ever known. I wish I could hold your hold, talk to you and hear your voice one last time, but I know God needs you more. While tears may fall and hearts may ache, I know where you've ended up is much better of a place than any of us could ever imagine- Dancing with angels, angels just like you. I love you, Stephanie, to the moon and back.

While I cannot say enough about the time we shared or the bond that we had I decided to share my letter to you that I read at your memorial....

It pains me to have to put pen to paper and accept that this time has finally come.  You have been such an integral part of my life and the children's life the last several years and even more so the last several months.  
 
Although we ran in the same circles in high school it was not until you came to Merrill Lynch that our friendship truly blossomed.  I remember poking my head around the corner and seeing you in the conference room while you were being interviewed and I was like oh god.  I wasn't sure how that was going to go.  
 
I never could have anticipated the years that were to come.  We have shared so many good memories and the best ones seem to be the most simplest when we just hung out at home with the kids.  
 
I am going to miss our coffee with 5 different creamer options in the morning before I would go to work, our Fresh Market runs for the chicken specials (must go before 2 or they run out as you would say), working from your home on Tuesdays and many other things.  I will miss your smile, your rolling of the eyes, your laugh even your evil one and your cussing!  Most of all I will miss you.
  
I want to thank you for allowing me to share in your journey.  You had such a passion for living life and I watched you fight with everything you had to not have to leave your loved ones so soon.  Now that your fight is over please know that we will always feel your presence.  I will forever be grateful to have been blessed to have you as a friend and call you family.  You will always be my forever friend and I will always love you Stephanie.  
 
I saw post that I'd like to share. It said God doesn't give you the people you want, he gives you the people you need.  To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you the person you were meant to be.

My heart goes out to all of Stephanie's family and pray for you all in the future in dealing with the loss of such an amazing person, but I am so happy that Stephanie is no longer in pain.  She is an old friend and our paths crossed again.  She and my mother shared the same hospice home nurse and have been inpatient  at the same time as well.  I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it to the funeral as I am with my mother now at hospice.  I pray for strength and healing for you all, especially to her babies!!

Sending prayers, love and support to you Chris and Stephanie's family. We are very sorry to hear of your loss. She was such a wonderful fun loving and happy person and will be deeply missed and never forgotten!! Our deepest sympathy to all! We are unable to attend her celebration of life, but will be there in spirit.

I had never realized just how much one person can impact your life, you have shown me that even though you may have known someone for years and they may come in and out of your life the people you need at that exact moment you need them are placed back in it for a reason. A beautiful soul that will never be forgotten!  I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with sweet Stephanie.  I learned so much from her and the way she brought old and new friends together I will forever be grateful! Stephanie M. Spinelli, I loved her she was funny, and very humble. she was like a mom to me. me and her daughter were close. she was always a fun person to be around, I will miss her very much but she will always be in my heart and she is up there with the Lord now. I know she's safe and happy with him. I know I will see her again. my prayers go out to her family, and her children, who I love. they'll be in my daily prayers.

Stephanie treated my daughter, Destiny like she was her own.  She was such a warm, loving and caring person.  Her smile and warmth was always reflected in her eyes.  We are so very saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul and pray for Taylor, Cole, Chris and Nanna.  We love you all.
