Steve was born in Jacksonville to the late Peggy Ann Bullock and Bobby L. Bennett. Steve was a native of Jacksonville where he lived and worked as an underwater diver, welder, master carpenter, and then worked in the film industry for 26 years overseeing the Jacksonville production studio property and productions.
He and his wife Deborah had extraordinary love for animals, working with the local wildlife rescue coalition saving Florida native animals.
He will be missed and loved by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Bennett of 24 years, his daughter Heather Bennett, sister Teresa Bennett, brother Kevin Bennett, and step daughters Terry Dallmann and Natalie Countryman.
As well as a grandson, Everett Smolen, and many step grand children and great grand children.
Plus a niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, cousins and all of their families.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Steve’s Birthday- February 7, 2022 at noon at the:
