William B. Bishop

William B. Bishop, 84, passed away Oct. 2nd at the McGraw Center in Jacksonville. Mr. Bishop was a WWII veteran having served in Japan and worked in the printing business until his retirement. He was a member of Neptune Baptist Church where he served with the nursing home ministry for 18 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Dessie Lindsey Bishop with whom he made his home in Neptune Beach for 27 years; children, Sandra Gume of Jax Bch, Deborah & Jerry Taylor of Jax, Roxann & Jeff Zeitlin of Jax Bch, Robin & Brenda Bishop of Jax, Brian & Sherry Bishop of Jax Bch and Shelby Bishop of Atlantic Bch; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family is planning a private memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL .
