

Adolfo A. (Popo) Criscuolo passed into the arms of the Lord on November 3, 2016. He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on March 9, 1925 to the late Rodolfo Criscuolo and Evelina Kuntz Criscuolo. He was married to the late Awilda Perez de Criscuolo for 57 years. He is survived by a son Adolfo (Wilma) and a daughter Awilda (Jim) as well as 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Gilda Puglisi and Luz Marie Provencher. Mr. Criscuolo served in the Army during World War II and graduated from the University of Puerto Rico. He was an accountant who held a series of senior financial management positions in the government of Puerto Rico until his retirement in 1981 when they moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. He relocated to Jacksonville in 2004 after his wife passed away. Popo never met a stranger, known for his infectious good humor and sunny smile he had friends everywhere he went. A requiem mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach. Immediately following the mass he will be put to rest at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. John’s Bluff Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Northeast Florida, 9700 Philips Highway, Suite 106, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
