Aida Gutierrez Wright

Aida was born in Santa Cruz, Zambales, Philippines on July 29, 1937. She was the 4th child of 7 to Ernesto and Juanita Gutierrez.

Aida loved listening to oldies music such artist like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, and playing pares pares (a Filipino card game), she loved crossword puzzles, playing bingo with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching game shows on television especially “The Price is Right”.

Her household was filled with laughter, card games, music, gardening and food at all times. Aida was preceded in death by her husband, John Wright, and her oldest daughter, Annabelle. She is survived by 7 children; Suzara (Francisco), Victoria, Bernadette (Ray), Jojo, Cathy (Lorenzo), Anthony (Tracy) and May (Steven) along with many grandchildren,14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers Mike and Joseph; sister Joy; and numerous nieces and nephews. They will never forget the love she brought into their lives.

A visitation for Aida will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father Alex Carandang officiating. Holy Family is located at 9800-3 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256. A committal service will occur July 24, 2025 after mass, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225
