

We bid farewell to our father, Arthur B. Cox, who departed from this world on November 4, 2024 at the age of 89. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, his absence leaves a void in our hearts. To commemorate his life and the memories we cherish, a memorial will be held at the Warr family home. We welcome all who knew him and our family to join us in a Celebration of Life.
Arthur B. Cox was born November 1, 1935 in Quincy, FL, the son of J.W. Cox and Helen Barber Cox. Arthur B. Cox graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, the joined the Air Force Reserves and served until honorably discharged. Retired from a Career in Sales that he loved.
Arthur B. Cox especially loved taking us kids canoeing down the Ichetucknee Springs, also sailing and canoeing at Kingsley Lake. Lake Brooklyn we would sailing here as well, but this is the lake where he taught us how to Water Ski. He had a passion for flying twin engine planes. He flew the family several times to visit family in Maryland. And sometimes we would just fly all around town taking in the sites. He taught us how to drive a car and even some of our friends as well.
Remaining to cherish Arthur’s memory are children, Melanie C. Miller, James R. Miller, Sr., Suzanne C. Warr, Derek Warr; grandchildren, Angela M. Wood, Bill Wood, Christopher J. Bush, Melanie H. Bush, Michael Rapadas; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Wood, Ethan Bush, Serina Bush, Mya Bush and Zoe Bush.
Preceding Arthur in death are parents, J.W. Cox, Helen Barber Cox; sister, Patricia Eubanks; brother-in-law, John Eubanks; nieces and nephews, Lou Rymsza, Johnny Eubanks, Debbie Benninghoff.
Celebration of Life will be held January 18, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Warr Family Home, 3648 Baxter St., Jacksonville, FL 32222 (gate press #3648).
