Barbara Ann Pence, 52, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born July 31, 1962 to Donald and Elizabeth Hughes in Lima, OH. Barbara loved spending time with her grandbabies as well as shopping; especially discount shopping. Another of her passions was wildlife. Particularly cardinals, blue jays, squirrels and elephants. She loved Italian food, the beach (which reminded her of her mother) as well as rainbows. Barbara also loved playing with their dog Cash who is mourning the loss of Barbara as well. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. Barbara is survived by the love of her life for 26 years, Richard Sowders, one son, Matt Pence (Ashlynn Lee), Cynthia Suzann Pence, Christina Ann Pence, Caitlynn Nicole Sowders, one brother Delbert Hughes, two sisters Gloria (Jim) Motter, Cathy Suzanne (Gary) Atkinson, three grandchildren Madison, Makenzie Ann, Selena as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 4-8pm at the Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 1:00pm.
