Beatriz was a seamstress in the Philippines, making dresses for her daughters and the local residents. She came to the US in 1975 to live with her eldest daughter, Rosario, in Jacksonville, Florida. Her lifelong love, Justo, soon followed and then their youngest, Emilita. Beatriz was devoted to her faith in the Lord, being seen many times praying the novena. She always had a smile and loved to laugh. Everywhere Beatriz went, she would be seen with a scarf around her neck, regardless of the weather. As a grandmother of four and a great grandmother of six, she was exceedingly gracious with all of them. And when any of the grandchildren came to the house, she made sure they did not leave hungry. Her love for all of them was immeasurable. She was their Nanay, for she was so loved!
Beatriz was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 75 years, Justo Fermo.
She is survived by her children: Rosario F. Lerum (Fernando) and Emelita F. Juego (Efren); grandchildren, Rosanna L. Smith (Samuel), Rosabel L. Hill (Quentin), Jaaziel Juego and Ezekiel Juego; and great grandchildren Jullian A. Abinsay, Eraina H. Smith, Nathan S. Smith, Charisten R. Smith, Kayla E. Hill, and Matthew Q. Hill.
