A celebration of the life of Bryn Alan Markland will be held under the oaks at Riverside Memorial Park, Monday, April 11, 2016 at 3 p.m. Bryn was born April 9, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, to parents Vivian Victoria Napps Markland and Archie Feltus Markland, Jr. He passed away April 7, 2016.
Bryn served in the Air Force, worked in nuclear plants, and was a Facilities Manager Manufacturing for U. S. Refractories Inc., Ring Power Corp., and Southeastern Aluminum.
Having been raised in a boating family, Bryn’s passion was to be anywhere on the water, be it fishing, cruising, or camping. He was always relaxed with a pole in his hand and a cool one on the dock. He enjoyed karaoke and, in a deep resonate voice, belting out Dean Martin tunes. He enjoyed sharing a good time with friends and family. He had a kind and tender heart was determined to be a man of honor, dependability, and resourcefulness. In later years, he became the family historian with the ability to recall in great detail his childhood experiences and family’s stories. He had daily communication and a loving and accepting relationship with God.
Predeceased by his parents, Bryn Alan will be truly missed for his larger than life humor and joy by his brother Robert Nelson Markland and sister, Vicki Leigh Markland, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He leaves behind the pains of this life for the sheltering arms of his Maker and the renewed presence of his beloved parents.
Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32205.
