

Charlie W. Parker, 81, passed away March 17, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Affectionately known as Chuck he was most noted for being a Super Positive Person, outgoing and dearly loved people. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren like they were his own. His favorite day of the week was Sunday, when he could attend Sunday school and Church. Since moving to Jacksonville in 1996 he was a member of First Baptist Church where he was active in Larry Daley Sunday School Class and also served on the Welcome Committee. A few months ago he became a member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Auburn University (Alabama) and went on to be a college Professor at Troy State University (Albama) for many years and during that time he also gave Motivation Seminars to many companies in the United States. Upon living in Merritt Island, Florida he was an instructor at Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, Florida and also a football coach. He also was a professor at Brevard Community College. Charlie then changed his career to become a Preneed Funeral Service Counselor for Hardage Giddens in Jacksonville and then became a Realtor for Watson Realty before retiring. Leaving to cherish his memories is his devoted wife of 26 years Patricia Dudley-Parker; brother Hal Parker; stepson Randy J Dudley; stepdaughter Tamara M Welch; grandchildren Jonathan (Meaghan), Ashley, Brandon, Triston, and Michael; and five great grandchildren. Family will receive friend and family 2:00- 3:00 pm Sunday March 22, 2015 at Hardage Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 S Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park.
