

Charlotte Cail Carter was born on March 2, 1936 in Tallahassee, FL. and died, January 15, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 87. Charlotte was the fifth child of eight children born to William Henry and Bulah (Tobin) Cail. She was married to Johnny R. Carter Sr. (deceased). She was a lifetime member of West Friendship Baptist Church in Jacksonville FL.
Graduated from Old Stanton High School in Jacksonville, FL. Earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry, from Florida A and M. University, Tallahassee, FL.
Charlotte served as a teacher in the following schools: Rosenwald High School, in Panama City, FL, EuGene-Butler, and Northwestern Junior High in Jacksonville, FL, and elementary schools in Washington, DC and Japan.
Charlotte's special interest included, teaching Sunday school, and organizing various activities in her church, reading and studying the Bible, and gardening.
Charlotte’s family includes: Johnny R. Carter, Sr. (husband deceased) and Johnny R. Carter, Jr. (son); Siblings: Magnolia, John (Nada), Robert, David (Sharon), and Brenda (James); Grandchildren: Jordan, Jean-Seth, Juan-Carlos, Chloe, Ejaaz and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Charlotte will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
