Clarence Albert Hittell Sr., age 98, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Clarence was born January 24, 1915 in Akron, Ohio to Clarence Alvin and Addie Jeanette (Beasley) HIttell. He was a veteran of the Unites States Marine Corps and served during the WWII. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lydia Hitell, of 62 years in September of 2000, his parents, eight brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his daughter Joy Hittell; three sons Clarence “Buddy” Hittell Jr., Wayne Hittell (Linda), Ralph Hittell (Marcia); ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Family will receive family and friends Monday, May 20, 2013, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Online condolences can be shared at www.townandcountryfuenralhome.com.
