David grew up alongside his four sisters, Ada, Anita, Hope, and Shannon, and his younger brother, Greg. Later in life, he was blessed to welcome his sister, Brandi, into the family. Family remained at the center of his life from beginning to end.
A hardworking and independent man, David owned and operated his own painting company for many years, taking pride in the work he built with his own hands. Outside of work, he had a passion for treasure hunting at flea markets and storage auctions, always enjoying the thrill of uncovering hidden gems and unique finds. He also loved fishing, watching movies, eating seafood, and above all else, spending time with the people he loved most.
David shared more than 30 years of marriage and five children with his former wife, Martha. Though they had recently divorced, Martha remained an important part of his life, and the love and bond they shared over decades together never faded.
He is survived by his former wife, Martha; his children Efrain, David Robert Pooser III, Angelina (Dakota), Jessica (Darrian), Gregory, Amanda, and Amber; his beloved grandchildren Allie, Cairo, Dacey, Dax, and Luna; his parents, Sara and David Sr. Pooser and his sisters Ada, Brandi, Hope, and Shannon who was raised alongside him as a sister.
He was preceded in death by his sister Anita, his brother Greg, and his granddaughter Kylie.
David will be remembered for his humor, resilience, generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. Though he is gone from our sight, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
