Denise Doris Tuskey

Denise Tuskey (Doris), 70, was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Joseph and Rosetta Doris, as the first of eight children. She was one of the earliest pupils at Christ the King Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1969.

Denise retired from Bellsouth after 30 plus years of service. She was a devout Catholic, loving wife, caring mother and doting grandmother. Denise was happiest spending time with her family, listening to music, and unearthing rare and unique finds at estate sales.

She is survived by her dedicated husband John Smith; seven children: John (Lara); Christian, Christopher (Christy), Jennifer (Keith), Sarah (Bob), Joanna (Marlin), and Theresa. As well as her seven siblings, Michael (Cathy), Ann (George), James, Amy (Brian), Thomas, Kevin and Mark (Susan), and by many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and four great-grandchildren.

A family gathering and visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5th from 4:30-7:30 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, with prayer starting at 6 pm, led by Dea. Pat Goin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Amar Nagothu as Celebrant; interment immediately following in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road, Jax, FL 32225.
