

Budihas, Dennis Thomas, born March 5, 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the Anna Mae Bercik and Stephen Budihas Sr. Dennis graduated from Whitehall High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1962 and then joined the Navy. He was called to the Supreme Commander on September 28, 2018. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of Honorable Service as a AFCM/CMDCM (Command Master Chief) and was a (AW/AC); he was the Last CMDCM for NAAF Mayport Command Master Chief and the First CMDMC for NAS Mayport, Florida. He was also a Vietnam veteran. Dennis held various military medals and ribbons, while being a Navy Air Crewman as a Load Master on C-118 Cargo aircraft, later as a crewman on H-3 Helicopters. He became one of the Navy’s First Master Training Specialist. He worked various jobs in the aviation industry such as, teaching helicopters and worked in the world of manufacturing of aircraft parts and then completed his career with the Boeing Company as a Data Manager for 11 years, while attending and graduating from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. Degree in Aviation Management. Dennis was married to his best friend and sweetheart Paula Marie Kite Budihas with whom he spent many happy years; he was the Step-Father to Charles Kite, Cheryl Kite (deceased), and Christine Kite Kennedy; Sons Christopher Lee Budihas and his wife with three children and Dennis Michael Budihas and wife with two children; and Great-Grandfather of 2. Dennis is preceded in death by his brothers: George S. Budihas Jr., Edward J. Budihas, Robert C. Budihas, and his sisters: Bonita L. Stahl and Elaine C. Macey.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm.
