She was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and daughter of Emanual A. Martinez and Evelyn Norman Martinez. She married the love of her life, Donald D. Fletcher, on August 16. 1958, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother her whole life. Dolores loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.They were the light of her life.
When she was not taking care of her grandchildren in her younger years, she thoroughly enjoyed going to thrift stores, doing crafts, and being outside in her yard taking care of her dozens of plants. Dolores also loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. Her outside Christmas decorations were the talk of the neighborhood, and if everyone could only have seen the inside, they would be amazed.
Dolores Fletcher is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Donald D. Fletcher, Jr., her brother, Buck Martinez, and her sisters, Gloria Gibson and Teresa Gosney. She is survived by her daughters, Denise Fletcher (Rita), Dianne Corrado (Tony), sons Mike Fletcher and Rick Fletcher (Kellie). Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
