

Donald was born in Greenwood, SC on November 3, 1934 to Bertie
Porter Galloway and Benjamin A. Galloway.
Donald served 20 years in the United States Navy.
He was a "Die Hard" Clemson Tiger fan.
Donald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Avonelle Cater Galloway;
daughters Wanda Willis Hughes (Eddie) of Easley, SC and Angela Willis
Owens of Jacksonville, FL.
Grandsons - Josh Hughes (Leigh) of Rembert, SC and Brad Owens (Carrie)
of Pickens, SC; and great grandson Rhett Hughes of Rembert, SC; brother
Ronald "Bo" Galloway (Patsy) of Merritt Island, FL and sister Bobbie Sue
Showalter of Powhatan, Va. Also, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, brother John D. Galloway and
sisters Earlene Hughes and Helen Silvers.
Services will be held on Friday April 10, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills,
850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
Visitation is from 10:30 am to 11:30 am followed by services at 11:30am.
Honors and burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2 pm.
