Attended Robert E. Lee High School, retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad, SCI Corporation, Saber Management and May River Corp.
Served in the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. His duty assignments included Air Policeman and the Dyess Air Force Base Rifle Team.
Enjoyed watching all sporting events. Participated in the following sports with passion; golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, water sports and snow skiing. He loved traveling, reading, spending time with his family, neighbors and friends.
Donald was married to his loving wife Suzanne McLaughlin for 46 years.
Preceded in death by Mother, Marie McLaughlin; Father, William McLaughlin; brothers, Robert, Billy, and Jerry McLaughlin.
Survived by his wife, Suzanne McLaughlin; daughter, Nancy (Charlie) Rouse; son, Donald McLaughlin, Jr; sister, Ruth McLaughlin; nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, cousins, and many close neighbors and friends.
