Dorothy Thomas Cooper, 86, slept away peacefully on Friday morning, November 22, 2013. She is survived by her five faithful, loving, and devoted daughters Beverly Hicks, Renata Cooper, Gale Hampton (Sanford), Brenda Walker (James), and Patrice Sheffield (Emmanuel); thirteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 Saint Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
