Douglas G. Holland Jr.

Douglas G. Holland Jr., 83, passed away Wednesday December 31, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. Douglas was born July 4, 1931 to Douglas G. and Missie Sue (Angel) Holland Sr. in Sanford, FL. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a Pharmacist for over 40 years. Douglas enjoyed the great outdoors where he spent time fishing, hunting, and had a love for motorcycles. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Douglas will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 26 years Joan Holland; sons Tom Holland(Christine) and Larry Holland(Darlene); daughters Cheryl Lairsey (Jimmy), Karen Creamer (Roger), and Cindy Hicks (Larry); step sons Michael White (Sherry) and John White (Teresa); step daughters Kathy Chambers (Mark) and Kaye Nixon (Bruce); grandchildren Josh, Samantha, Kyle, Audria, Charlotte, Clark, Dustin, Colt, James, Katie, Christopher, Shane, Kaylee, Dominic, Aimee, and Diamond; great grandchildren Jamison, Bram, Nikki, Tina , Jack, Joshia, Corbin, Malichi, Asher, Esther, Ben, Carly, Keleb, Caleb, Joshua, Esther, Ayla, Isaiah, Sykra, Kira, Calen, and Caedmon. Family will receive family and friends 3:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, 5330 Dunn Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32218. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
