Edna Boyd Baldasso

Edna Boyd Baldasso, 88, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, on June 16, 2013. Edna was born on Sept. 10, 1924 in Forsyth County, Ga. to Henry Grady and Willie Ethel Puckett. Edna is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Americo, known to all as “Joe”, sons Rick (Penny, Kyle, Emily) and Jerry (Brittney, Christine) and daughter Susan Fox (Mike, Michael, Taylor). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wansley Puckett, Lamonte (Sue) Puckett, Leverette (Irene) Puckett, and sisters Retha Mae (Wardell) Stephens, and Monte Ree (Claude) Wade. She is also survived by her sister Melba (Jere) Bearden, sister-in-law Martha Puckett and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., Fl. 32205. The funeral service will be Friday, June 21, 2013 at West Jacksonville Baptist Church located at 5634 Normandy Blvd., Jax, Fl. 32205 at 10:00 a.m.. Rev. Rodney Kelly will be officiating the service. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Vincent’s Community Hospice Center, 1 Shircliff Way, Jax, Fla. 32204 or the West Jax. Baptist Church Mission Fund.
