

Our precious mother Edna Blanche Hunter Davis, age 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at her son Robert’s home in Glen Saint Mary, FL. She was the heart of our home and family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished Granny and dear friend to many.
Born in Beaver Falls, PA to the late William A. Hunter and the late Helen B. Myers Hunter. She lived a life filled with love, laughter and kindness. She was known for her warm smile, gentle demeanor, unwavering generosity and her quick wit.
She was married for 51 years to her soul mate and love of her life, Wilbert A. Davis who preceded her in death. Together they raised three children Patricia Cole, Scott Davis and Robert Davis (Michelle); grandchildren, Jennifer (Russ), Jessica, Heather (Erek), Kyle (Lulu), Amanda (David), Landon, Katie (Gabe); and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Ellen Keller and Mary Beth McFarland Walker.
She was a machine operator at Unijax for over 30 years. In her free time she was an avid thrifter (especially with her partner in crime, Granddaughter Jenny) and loved to read.
She was a devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy for over 40 years. She truly enjoyed attending church services and was faithful, making sure her grandkids were brought up in the church.
She was a true example of strength and grace that will be deeply missed by all.
A visitation for Edna will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Hardage- Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Followed by a committal service at 1 PM.
