Ed was born on December 22nd, 1928, in McElhattan PA. He attended Temple University in Philadelphia PA. He served in the United States Marines and was a member of the Lakeshore American Legion Post #137, Jax. Fl. and VFW post #5968, Orange Park, Fl.
He retired from the City of Jacksonville in 2000 after 32 years as Superintendent of the Wastewater division. Since that time he has enjoyed Dancing, Singing Karaoke, Bowling, Darts, playing Pool and picked up the game of Golf at 88 yrs of age.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Howard of Gainesville Fl., his sons, Dennis Chatham of Laurel Maryland, Skip Chatham of Jacksonville Beach, a daughter, Kelly Chatham of Jacksonville Fl., and 10 Grandchildren, numerous Great grandchildren, and 1 Great great Grandchild “Lilly”
The Celebration for his Life will be held at a yet to be determined time and place, due to the pandemic limitations for safe travel and gathering.
