OH how I miss you, and still need your guidance. 
2 years has not even softened the blow of losing you.

My name is Theresa.... I have several fond memories and a bunch laughs with what I referred to him as Mr. Ed..... I  sure do miss seeing that old man... I was his barber and friend for many years... I  always thought he would outlive me... He would always tell me about his adventures  in Biloxi  Mississippi  and his nights of dancing the night away ... Aww.....What a Great man and a Beautiful soul... I will Truly miss seeing his face but I know that we will see each  other again... May God Bless us All in these troubling times and know that he is smiling down on us.. May God watch over his family and friends and give them peace for he was truly loved. 

There are some people in our lives who make us feel grateful just for knowing them.Grateful that we have such an awesome person in our lives. 
Grateful that such an awesome person is even willing to spend time with us. I feel grateful to be your granddaughter.

The whole family knew you and I were meant to be  buds since the day I was born. Our bond was undeniable from the early days of sitting in your office chair playing solitaire, or typing random garb on every single piece of paper I could find.  Maybe  begging for just one more stale moon pie or  yahoo from that  outdated vending machine in that dusty corner that you had to know how to work just right to get what you wanted out of it.  ( No baby, let papa show you the move… )I remember it like it was yesterday.  That cheeky one of a kind grin would creep slowly across that handsome strong face, the that sparkle in your kind eyes would appear and I knew I had hit  the jackpot! (If you did it just right I'd get double the moon pis).
Boy was I in heaven! 
 I absorbed every minute I spent with you, every story, and every laugh.
I learned from you every time I was with you.  You had the ability to make someone feel like the most important person in the room.
Your strong, cheerful nature was ever so present   anywhere  you went, You were truly the life of any party. 
You kept people laughing and you even  taught me to laugh at myself.
You were the definition of a giving person.  You would drop anything for us, day or night no matter the circumstance. We could always count on papa!
Thank you for being such a great role model to all of us. Our family along with countless others whose path you crossed  looked  up to you in so many different ways. 
You were  and  always will be our  strong unwavering cornerstone. We were all so very  lucky to have you.   Thank you for being  my favorite person  in the world.I am so  honored  to have you as my grandfather and friend.

I played with his daughter Kelly when we were 5-7 years old. My favorite story is when Kelly and I played Easter Egg hunt one Easter. We took turns hiding the eggs while the other one hunted for them. I had a tinfoil covered hard boiled egg that was the "Golden Egg". On our last go round I hid that one in the bumper of Ed's car, then forgot where I had hidden it. Kelly and I both looked for it until we were called in for supper. We both forgot about it until several days later when Ed found it, by following the aroma only a three day old rotten egg could make hidden in a bumper.
May his memory be a blessing to us all.


Papa Ed was the kindest man.  Always there for his family.  A loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.  I consider myself lucky to have known him.  My sympathy goes out to his family...

I miss my Papa everyday. We lived together for a little over a year and it was one of the best years of my life. I was going through a rough time in my life and he showed me what it was to be independent. He taught me to use a zero turn mower(he always told me I could mulch dead trees but I never did), he taught me how to slow dance, he showed me how to fix things around the house (his way) we drank together, we laughed together. We used to go to Sam’s club one day a week and walk around eating all the samples and called it lunch, then went home to drink. We talked about life. He will forever be in my heart. 

My Daddy was the greatest man... best father, best provider, hardest worker, loving husband... A Legend, a Man among men, A MARINE.  I will miss his beautiful smile, his laugh, his hugs...his Love for me that will never be matched. I Love you Daddy.
