Ethel Virginia Bishop, 89 of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on April, 14, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Ethel is preceded by her husband Willard Bishop, Sr., parents Willie and Etta Knight, son, Jimmy Bishop and daughter, Sarah Jolly. Ethel is survived by loving children; Susie Mann, Willard Bishop, Jr. ( Camey), and Diane Richardson (Mark), sisters, Connie Johnson and Naomi Stancel, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren , and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel was a member of the Paxon Revival Center and was the owner of the Beauty Flair Salon in Avondale for many years. Ethel will be remembered for the love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed a social gathering and cooking. Ethel took pride in making the best biscuits this side of Heaven. She will be remembered for her determining spirit, sense of humor, and love for all she knew.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 10:00 t0 11:00, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Reverend Celeste Tisdele officiating.
