Evelyn Lucille Gordon, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born January 6, 1928 to Dave and Aldine Knowles in McRae, GA. Evelyn loved to sew, do yard work, spend time with her family and attend church at Paxon Revival Center. She is survived by one son Wayne Gordon, two daughters Barbara Finnell, Kathy (David) Burrell, two brothers Mallette Knowles, Floyd Knowles, two sisters Ruby and Alberta as well as four grandchildren Michelle, Jenny, Stephanie, Christopher, nine great-grandchildren Lydia, Isaiah, Elijah, Lily, Noelle, Ashton, Darwin, Kendall and Sierra. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 23,2014 at 11:00am at Riverside Memorial Park.
