It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Janell Walden, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, at the age of 79. Born in Jessup, Georgia on June 25, 1945, she was a strong woman who dedicated her life to her family. Evelyn will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strength. Evelyn is one of eleven brothers and sisters born to Marion and Isabell Griffis. Evelyn is survived by three of her siblings, Buddy, Bebe, and Wayne.
Evelyn was laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park cemetery. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be planned later. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Wounded Warrior Foundation in her memory.
