Frank Wesley Herrick

Frank Wesley Herrick, age 69, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on October 14, 2022. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia on February 28, 1953 to Frank Wesley Herrick and Clara Morris Herrick. He graduated Class of 1971 from Nathan Bedford Forrest Senior High School. He started working for CSX Railroad right out of high school as a locomotive engineer until he retired because of ill health. Wesley met Janie D. Herrick in 1990 and they were married on May 16, 1997.

Wesley was a black belt in Karate, ran SEPSA matches with his wife Janie for 10 plus years, enjoyed Shooting Sports and GSSF Matches (Glock), served on the BOD of his local gun club and ran 4 major USPSA matches. He was also an animal rescuer and student of all religions.

He is missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Janie D. Herrick; daughters, Lisa M. (Chris) Steward and Gina H. (William) Price; brother, Floyd E. (MaryBeth) Herrick; grandsons, Glen Williams, William Boyer, Jonathan Payne and Anthony Hodge, III; granddaughters Miranda (Joel) Smith and Amanda (John) Perron; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 niece; 3 nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death are his parents, Frank and Clara Herrick; mother-in-law, Hilda T. Duckworth; sister, Nancy C. Herrick and granddaughter Katilyn P. Payne.

A Special Thanks to Barry, Cathy, David and Nancy and also to Community Hospice and Baptist Medical Center for all of their care.
