George A. Ellis, 89, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was born in Pratt City, Alabama to Tom and Katherine Ellis. George was predeceased by his loving wife, Myrtice, his parents, brother Tommy and sister in law Dorothy Ellis, son in law Wes Douglas and grandson Robert Bonn Wood and brother in law Mim Skoofalos. Survivors include daughters; Linda (Mike) Novak and Debbie Douglas, brother Marvin (Sylvia) Ellis, sister Dorothy Skoofalos, grandchildren Dana (Brian) Green, Kristi (Brian) Campanella and Jarrod (Amberly) Douglas and five great grandchildren. George owned and operated Carroll Saw Company. He enjoyed retirement and was an avid golfer and animal lover. He was an amazing “Jack Of All Trades” and was totally devoted to his family.
