George was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Williams) who he was married to for 51 years. As George prepared for the end of this life he looked forward to being reunited with Shirley in a new life.
George is survived by his daughters, Ann Marie Breene and Regina Alletag and his stepsons John (Tina), Joe (Karen) and Jim (Anne) Lapent. George is also survived by 13 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, his sister Theresa Remolde and her husband Dan Ferris. George was also predeceased by his father George, his mother Angeline (Mangano) and his brother Donald.
George was employed by the City of Philadelphia as part of the grounds crew at stadiums for years. George was best known for initiating the deck hockey league at Venice Island in the mid 70’s with great success.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, November 15, at 10 AM at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.
