

He started his education in United States Air Force where he obtained a general education degree, and training in the Command Ammunition field.
As a young man he was a member in the Civil Air Patrol where he received two ribbons for completion of service. He served in United States Air Force from 1956 to 1959 as an ammunition specialist at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. AZ. He received multiple awards during his time in the service.
He took a career job at Tri-Clover, Inc, as a pipefitter and did maintenance where he exceled at many things. He received multiple awards and commendations during his career. He also participated in continuing education and received multiple certifications.
His interests are too numerous to list but a few: Member of the Lodge 34th Machinist Union, Grand Lodge International Association of Aerospace workers, International Maintenance Institute, and the Kenosha WI. Airman. He obtained a pilot license and flew small planes. He also sang in the Asheville Symphony Chorus in Asheville, NC. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved playing games on the computer, watching nature and history on TV, as well as watching weather-related events.
He was active in church. Attending First Assembly of God in Kenosha, WI, Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Asheville, NC, and Journey Church in Jacksonville, FL. He loved to sing in the choir and perform in the holiday performances.
He happily married his wife Susan Bock Granger on April 8th, 1977.
He is survived by Susan Bock Granger (wife), Kimberly J (Eddie) Moore (daughter), Matthew G Granger (son), Kimberly S Granger (Ron Iwen) (daughter), Hillarie (Pattie) Adkins/Granger (daughter). 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by. Bernice I Weiss (mother) William E Granger (father) Marcus Lee Granger (Son) Joshua Bradley Granger (son) Gerald Lee Granger Jr. (son) John E Granger (brother) Cody Daniel Sajdik (grandson) Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Granger in spirit and all the family make a special thank you to Sandy Monkress, his home health aide, who made life better and treated Mr. Granger as family.
Everyone who encountered him enjoyed his humor and demeanor. He will truly be missed by family and friends who love him dearly.
