Gerard was a very loving and compassionate man. He cherished quality time with family and made sure to keep close connections with relatives near and far. He enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life like watching and talking about sports. He was deeply admired for his strong dedication to his two sons, Kenneth and Karl.
Gerard was selfless and did not want to burden anyone with all that he was going through even until the very end. He will be dearly missed by many loved ones who celebrate that he is no longer in pain but instead at peace and reunited with his earthly and Heavenly Father. Gerard is survived by his wife Tess Zerrudo, his sons Kenneth and Karl, his mother Prescilla Zerrudo, two siblings Lourdes Visque and Brian Zerrudo and many extended family and friends. Gerard is preceded in death by his father Fidencio Zerrudo.
A gathering of friends and family for Gerard Byron will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a memorial service mass from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
