

Grace Delores Hague, 102, precious mother of Sally Ann Hague, died peacefully early Sunday morning, January 22, 2012, at her residence. Grace was born near Moundsville, West Virginia on December 26, 1909 and lived in West Virginia until moving to Jacksonville in 1979 in order to be near her daughter. For the next 32 years she enjoyed life in Jacksonville where she made many new friends by joining clubs, taking up ballroom dancing, and continuing her love of gardening. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and participated in the Council of Catholic Women, the Young at Heart Club, and other activities.
Grace married Harry Edward Hague on April 11, 1942, in Wheeling, West Virginia. After Harry was discharged from the Army in 1945, Grace and Harry made their home in Vienna, West Virginia, where they enjoyed 25 years of marriage until Harry’s death in March of 1967.
In addition to her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her parents John Oscar and Sabra Virginia McMillan; three sisters-- Clara Eulalia Church in 1996, Hester Ann Elizabeth McHenry in 1999, Artie Fern Klein in 1985, and one brother, Glen in 1917. Grace is survived by her only child, Sally Ann Hague; three nephews—Robert McHenry, Ronald Simmons, Donald Klein; one niece, Betty Lou Zastrow; her dog, Candy; and several dear, treasured friends.
Visitation will be at Town and Country Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 25 from 6 – 8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Fr. Luke McLoughlin as celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
