He was born in Opp, Alabama and was of the Baptist faith.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Mary J. Ward; sons Ronald C. Ward and wife Cynthia; Michael Ward and wife Margaret (Maggie) H., and David E. Ward; brother Leo Ward; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00PM Friday, May 6, 2011.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 all located at Town and Country Funeral Home.
Interment will follow to Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida.
