

Ilma (Yolanda) was born in Quirigua, Izabal, on October 25, 1931. She was married in 1959 to her beloved husband, whom she met in Dallas TX.
She began her career as a school teacher until she married, and then began to serve alongside her beloved husband in full time ministry supporting work as a church pastor in San Antonio, Texas, until they departed as full time missionaries in 1969 to Brazil. They later completed missionary service in Guatemala, and after approximately 50 years of missionary work, they semi-retired and returned to the US, where she continued providing ministry support in various churches.
She was preceded in death by her father, a Guatemala Governor, Eduardo Rodas Amezquita, and mother Clara Luna Urizar. Yolanda leaves to cherish her memories three sons and their families Paul, David, and Timothy. Their wife’s respectively are Donna, Cindy, and Pilar. Her surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren and families are Joseph (Chelsea, Camron, and Jayde), Rebekah (Rick, Aaliyah, Akaylah, and Akai), John (Simran, Roman and River), and Joy (Reed, Audrey, Sydney, and Kennedy); Ashley (Jeremy, Baileigh and Mackenzie), Tiffany (Chris, Elaina, Carson and Caleb), Zach; Maia (Nick and Zachary) and Matthew. She is also survived by numerous cherished family members from her native country of Guatemala.

A visitation for Yolanda will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Graveside Service will occur Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home.
