Iluminada Nuria Dizon, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida joined her husband, Isidro in heaven on Friday, March 12, 2021. She quietly passed away at home. Nuria, as she was called, was an extraordinary lady, whose smile would light up the room. Nuria was born in Guantanamo, Cuba to Salvador and Obdulia Bago on November 29, 1933. She met Isidro when he was stationed in Guantanamo while on active Navy duty. They were happily married for over 54 years.
Nuria loved reading murder-mystery novels, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her children; Aline (Norberto), Ramses, Cynthia (Randy), and Michelle, Grandchildren; Christopher, Victor, Erica, Jessica, Gabriel, and Nicholas, Great-Grandchildren; Madison, Shae, and Elara.
The family would like to acknowledge River Garden Rehabilitation and Community Hospice for their help and kindness in the last few weeks of Nuria's life.
